House History Project

Are you interested in the history of your house?

Pat Trotter and Margaret Anderton are gathering information on our local dwellings - when they were built, interesting architectural features, size of original land plots, leasehold tenancies and/or family ownership, and any relevant stories.
For instance, do you live in a pre-1920s house? To help with our research into the lives of the men named on our war memorials, we have the names of their homes but not necessarily the roads where these houses were situated. Names of houses often change when sold so the original is lost over time.
Can you help by telling us the name of your house between 1910-1920? If you can, please phone Pat on 01628 524332 or e-mail her on pattrotter@talktalk.net
